19/09/2008 - Environmental Health General Enforcement Policy |
The Forum has been requested to circulate this information to it's members;
The Environmental Health Section is updating it's General Enforcement Policy which covers the areas of enforcement not covered by the Food Safety, Health and Safety, Licensing and Air Pollution Control Enforcement Policies, such as noise, pollution and animal licensing. I would be grateful for any comments from your members regarding the document and in particular on our approach to business being brought in by the Compliance Code. The intention is to target action against those who are most likely to cause the greatest problem or where repeated non compliance occurs. Where businesses are trying to comply, advice and guidance etc should be given. This is a similar approach to that already undertaken in Food and Health and Safety where sites are risk assessed and one of the factors in deciding how frequently the premises is inspected is confidence in the management. I would be grateful for your comments as soon as possible with a deadline of 10th October. To read the full details click here to view now.
If you require any further information please do not hesitated to contact me. Thank you for your assistance.
