Letter from Leicestershire County CouncilFurther to my correspondence on 18th August 2008 regarding the closure of Thurlaston Lane. It has become necessary to extend the road closure for a further week, which means the road will now be reopened on 29th September 2008.
The extension is required due to the exceptional weather conditions that we experienced in the first week of the road closure. The heavy rainfall has increased various elements of the programme and thus made this measure essential.
I can only apologise for the inconvenience that this may cause and assure you that every effort will be made to keep any additional disruption to a minimum.
Should you require any further information relating to the above works then please do not hesitate to contact Mr Jordan Flint on the 01455 849 663, email:jhflint@leics.gov.uk.
Yours faithfully Harjinder Marwaha Supervising Engineer A47 Earl Shilton Bypass On behalf of the Director of Highways, Transportation and Waste Management |
