SUBMISSION OF THE HINCKLEY & BOSWORTH CORE STRATEGY
I wish to inform you that the HInckley & Bosworth Core Strategy had been submitted to the Secretary of State.
The Secretary of State has appointed Mr Raymond Michael MRTPI, ARICS, BSC, DIPTP, MBIM, MB of the Planning Inspectorate, to conduct an examination to determine whether the Core Staregy is sound (Justified, effective and consistent with national policy) and legally compliant. His role is to consider all the evidence and produce a report for the Council giving his recommendations for action. These recommended actions must then be undertaken by the Council before the Core Strategy is then adopted.
What happens now?
The Examination in Public - EiP - is the next step in the process. This is a chance for the Inspector to invite people who commented on the Core Strategy and indicated they would like to attend the EiP to a round table discussion. At this discussion the inspector may ask further questions with regards to the formal written comments made to the consultation so he is able to reach a more informed decision on the soundness of the Core Strategy.
The date for the EiP has not yet been set. Information will be available on our website once a date has been confirmed.
