13/05/2009 - Training Grants |
The Earl Shilton Business Forum has money to spend on Training.
The Earl Shilton Business Forum was formed to assist businesses in and around the town to remain in business and grow while the impeding bypass was constructed and opened. On this basis we were given grant aid to help in the support of these businesses. A portion of this money is set aside for the purpose of training, but previous requests for training requirements have received very little response, so we have decided to try a new angle.
Is there some training that you or your organisation have decided is right for you? Is there a training course that you would like to attend or send staff to? Is there training you would like but cannot do due to budgetary constraints? Do you have a business idea for which you require some training?
We would like to invite local businesses to submit a proposal to us which details the following; - Your business address and phone number (a residential address is fine if you work or intend to work from home) - Details of type of training required - Number of staff you would like to receive this training - Total cost of training - Amount £ requested from the forum (we will offer you the most we can, but we are looking to assist as many businesses as possible) - Date of training – this can be open ended but if the course is imminent then we need to know
So get your thinking caps on, as we are required by the grant providers to spend this money on training or give it back – and we’d really rather not give it back!
So what are you waiting for, fill in the Grant Application Form and send it back to us for consideration.
RULES The rules are as follows; The Forum will contribute a maximum of £300 to all grant approved companies, but the business themselves must contribute a minimum of £50. All awards are VAT exclusive. In order to receive this grant we require you to do the following; - Pay for your training course - Provide the Forum with copy paperwork showing that it has been paid for (this must be provided to us at least 7 days before the Forum meeting) - Attend the next Forum meeting where your cheque will be presented by a member of the committee - Have your photo taken for *publicity purposes - Provide the Forum with a quotation or testimonial to use for *publicity purposes
*Publicity purposes means for use in local papers and the Earl Shilton Business Forum website, and could also include any media and advertising channel.
