AGM Email Discussed numbers, and how we could drum up more attendees, we decided that we would all telephone 20 or so members, RP to distribute the list out and each committee member agreed to ring them over the next few days and send the results back.
Creative Spaces We discussed whether artists should pay a commission how much it should be and to whom, RC said that the going rate was around 30%. RP suggested we go in at around 20% and the money would be paid back to the forum to re-use.
Which shop? There are 5 or so empty premises “This n That” and the Tattoo shop were discussed, we will need to look into the land lords and find out which will be amenable.
Manpower to cover the shops, perhaps the artists could share this?
Rent – could the Town Council be encouraged to treat the Creative Spaces shops as a charity and charge low rates? Linsdsay Auton is the HBBC contact.
Grants We are looking into grants that we can apply for, each requires a specific project. The latest one from VAL requires more information about advertising.
Shop Fronts Geezers is close to completion, the grants have nearly ended and no new ones are being considered.
